10/19 SCRIPTURES ON NOTHING HIDDEN:

11
“Man dams up the streams from flowing [so that they do not trickle into the mine],
And what is hidden he brings out to the light.

Luke 8:17
17 For there is nothing hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come out into the open.

Mark 4:22 Amplified Bible (AMP) 22 For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been kept secret, but that it would come to light [that is, things are hidden only temporarily, until the appropriate time comes for them to be known].

Brother,

I hope and pray all is well with you and your family today.

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.” -Ecclesiastes 3:1

Seasons come and seasons go. We can count on it. Summer fades into fall, fall into the crisp winter season, which sprouts anew each year into spring. Spring saunters into summer and the cycle continues. It doesn’t matter what part of the country that we live in, seasons are evident.

It’s inevitable: CHANGE HAPPENS. Change can be perceived as good, like springtime bursting forth: job changes, birth, children moving out, new friendships, or going to college. Change can be perceived as negative, moving into the winter season: job loss, death, children moving out, friendships ending, or divorce/separation.

Cycles continue, life progresses on and CHANGE HAPPENS.  Sometimes we become impatient in the waiting.  Sometimes we become impatient in the waiting.
Whether positive or negative, change usually brings feelings of fear, anxiety, indecision, tension, confusion, hopelessness. Our emotions are a part of change. Seasons of change can last for a few weeks, months, and even years. Change lasting longer than expected can often be agonizing.

We have to learn to trust God with change.  There is a tension that happens when we are in the midst of change. Living in the middle of what was and the hope of what is yet to come is challenging. We have to LEARN that we can trust God with change, even when we don’t see the end.

We are told in Psalm 37:34, “Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along his pathway and in due season he will honor you with every blessing.”
As we navigate the tumultuous waters of learning to trust God with change, we have to decide where we are going to place our trust or anchor our soul. We can look at many biblical figures to see how they navigated change. Some of those heroes of the Bible made it through as they put their trust in God, while others got lost on the path to their destination.

In the Bible we can read hiw God takes His children through change, the outcome of choosing God, and what happens when we run from God in the times of change. As we study His faithfulness, we will learn more and more WHY we can trust God with change. As we begin to trust Him in the little changes of life, our faith muscle will grow and we will learn that He is the Trustworthy One.

But One Thing Remains…HE is faithful. He knows the plans He has for us (Jeremiah 29:11) and He will use ALL things for good (Romans 8:28).

CHANGE will happen, seasons will come and seasons will go. The question is, WHAT will we anchor our souls on to so that we and our families are not swept away by the tides of change?

Please join me in prayer, Heavenly Father, our life is nothing without you. Help us to live in this reality, moment by moment, each day. Life only comes from You. We know our life changes through You and You alone. We know that this year has been full of changes and challenges. Help us to grow closer to You, because that is the real change we seek today, tomorrow and always.  In Your Holy and Precious Name we pray - AMEN.
Please stay safe and STRONG  out there today, tomorrow and always.

Always remember I am there for you in thought, prayer and action - 24x7.

Have a blessed day and week.

Love Your Brother and Friend in Christ,

Michael

10/16 THE AGE OF LIARS AND OTHER MISINFORMATION
My message for 10/16 involved the Age that we are in for lies and misinformation. I decided to give you two popular examples of such here for your discernment.
1. Democrats are saying: "Donald Trump lied about the coronavirus in the beginning".
Now I do not know how far this went but let us clear the truth up a little about this one. For a Christian it is one thing to lie and another to withhold information (That is to keep your mouth shut, Be slow to speak). For us to shut up, so as not to harm others is okay. To lie about it is not okay.
While Donald Trump is not my ideal Christian, in fact no body is except Christ, let us understand his stated reasoning and put ourselves in his position for a minute.....
You find this horrible virus is coming our way. You also realize it's terrible implications and that some people will panic. At the same time you realize our country is NOT well prepared for it. There will be shortages of masks, protective gear, treatments and hospital beds etc. What would you do? I would not tell people things that would make them panic, but would report on what we were doing. Is that basically what he did. Yes, he may have downplayed or not known about what we now know about distancing and masks.
2. Tucker Carlson, (and I tape his program) keeps on talking about how masks do not protect you. Now I know, some like him and like the Fox network. But here comes influence, power and money, although it may not seem like it. The whole truth about masks is that they are not for your protection, they are for everybody else's protection. YOU can have a disease that you do not realize, and can spread like wild fire and the most common spread of this virus is through the moisture in your breath that it rides on. That has been a steady fact from the professionals.
Yes, the virus can slip through the mask. It is smaller than the weave of the mask. But that is not why you wear it. So, he goes on about it's lack of protection. Now why would he do that? He gets attention. The non-maskers love him. He keeps in the money and fame. However, what about his Christianity? Does he say anything about that at any time? NO! Does he present both sides of the issue? NO! These should be warning signs for the Christian.
Now could you put Tucker Carlson? The Fox Network? President Trump? above Christ? Yes you can IF you go to them first instead of God. Be very aware you are inundated with these kind of choices every day. Will you cave in or be stuck on Jesus?

Brother,

I hope and pray all is well with you and your family today.

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose" - Philippians 2:12-13

No one comes into this world knowing how to obey. Every parent must invest time and effort in training their children to follow instructions. Learning obedience with God works in a similar way. We can obey our heavenly Father if we choose to trust Him. If we don’t trust the Lord, we won’t obey Him. Anytime we’re tempted to disobey in a particular area, that’s the point at which we don’t trust Him. The solution is to actively choose to believe that God is who He says He is, and that He will do what He has promised.

We need and should determine to wait upon the Lord in prayer. The first step in making sure that we’re walking in God’s will is to ask Him to show us what He wants for our lives. While seeking the Lord, we should also search the Scriptures for passages that clarify His will and give us guidance. Then we must wait for His instructions and timing. Even when we can’t figure out what God is doing or why He delays, remembering that He knows every aspect of the situation should bring us assurance.

Another way to focus more on God is to meditate upon His Word every day. We’ll never live obediently with a closed Bible because that’s God’s primary means of leading us. Within its pages are the answers to whatever situations we’re facing. Today and every day we have the entire written Word of God, and the Lord promises to bless those who do what it says.

Anyone who obeys the Lord will encounter conflict. First of all, there will be inner discord when what God is calling us to do seems humanly unreasonable.Furthermore, obedience might also result in relational disharmony if others don’t understand or agree with what the Lord is telling us to do.  We need to leave the consequences to God. When He challenges us to obey, our minds could fill with doubts: Suppose He can’t fix this situation. What if He doesn’t provide enough? When these thoughts come to mind, we must remember that the Lord is always sufficient and adequate for every issue in our lives. Our job is simply to obey Him and then watch Him work out His will in our lives in surprising ways.

Obedience is doing what God says, when He says it, how He says it, for whatever reason He says it. There’s no room for passivity when it comes to obeying the Father. This level of commitment requires an active choice. How we decide to focus more on Him is always our choice. I hope and pray we choose the right way and become BETTER Brothers in Christ.

Let us pray, Father we thank You for the opportunity to spend time in Your Word.  Help us to focus on things above and not on earthly things. Keep away all that would distract us from Your Word and develop in us a teachable spirit and ears that listen to Your still small voice, and we pray that the eyes of our heart would be open to see all that You want to teach us.  Give us insight and understanding as we read and reflect on Your Word, and may we mature in the faith, grow in grace and come to a deeper knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We ask all of this in Your Holy and Precious Name - AMEN.

Please stay safe and STRONG  out there today, tomorrow and always.

Always remember I am there for you in thought, prayer and action - 24x7.

Have a blessed day and week.
