Celebrating Halloween or Not? |

Dear Min. Bob,
There is among Christians a great debate on whether, as a Christian, we should celebrate Halloween or not. On the one side, we recognize Ephesians 6, that it is a spiritual battle here on earth and the spirits are real. On the other hand we who are mature in Christ can go into any situation and promote Christ, can't we? Are we not told that we are "more than conquerors"?
Well, how do we be an ambassador for Christ here? Honestly, there are some great, innovative answers. Why not try one of these:
* Christian Book Stores have these mints in packages marked with Scriptures. They call them "Testamints". Why not give some out with the candy?
* How about a tract with the candy. There are certainly enough available to find a good one, is there not?
* Why not give a 'special prize' for the kindest, or 'lightest', most angelic or something like that, for a costume in a group that visits? It could be for anything that is more light than darkness in a costume, if you know what I mean. And could be as simple as a larger candy bar or extra helping of candies. It just shows what values you want to encourage.
You see, just to hide away on Halloween or to go along to get along may not be the best answer. But God gives us many ways to overcome and be a light in the darkness. Be creative. Be a conqueror this Halloween! You may bring some young one, or even older one to Christ today!

Dear Min. Bob,
GOD does not talk much about HIS wrath except at the end of the Age. Which Age? The Christian Age. We might call it the New Testament times. After that is a much more glorious age, it could be called the Heavenly Age, where the elect will spend eternity in heaven, with GOD.
There are some things that get in our way however. In Paul's letter to the Romans he discusses them here.
* Stubbornness - Ever have to apologize or say that you are sorry, you made a mistake, or you intentionally or not hurt someone? It seems harder than it should be doesn't it? It is our pride and stubbornness in action.
* Unrepentant Hearts - After our stubbornness plays a few times, we try to convince ourselves that we did nothing wrong. This lie, particularly to ourselves, can lead to denial. Shrinks recognize this as a problem, a deep one.
Let us proceed toward the goal with purer hearts each day. Why should we? Because heaven awaits us when we do!

Dear Min. Bob,
Originally this message was scheduled for Tuesday. However, I believe it is too important to put off. As I write this many married friends are having troubles, a good friend has lost her dad, another good friend sits by his wife's bedside and at times she resents him or does not know who he is. Some are conquering with God's love, others are not. In a world where so much true love is missing. SO THIS SPECIAL MESSAGE TODAY:
In this generation it is not uncommon to hear of people who have "Fallen Out of Love" with each other. It is sad as this same expression is heard by many Pastors and Counselors from people who report to be Christians. Kindly let me explain why and how it relates to our love for Christ.
First, let's look at God's definition of love in I Cor. 13. Does it sound like something that is based on emotion or more like determination and commitment? Which love is more mature or perfect? Is each of these steps or facets of love like the world teaches us today? Certainly, I say "no way". We have allowed Satan to rule in an area where he has no power and once again is lying to us.
Second, let's look at our own walk to Christ. He says that we must be 'born again' and the proof of that is that we become a 'new creation'. We do and understand things differently than before. So when we came to Christ, we should have fallen in love with HIM and then realized what HE did for us and fell in love with that. Our reaction then should be to love HIM back and dedicate our lives to doing it as best we can.
Thirdly, "All things are possible"... For what? "For those that love the Lord". Want things to happen in your life? How is your love doing? You know the one for the Lord? This is the question we must all ask ourselves.
Fight now love is under attack all over the place, BUT we can make a difference. Are you ready?

In many places, particularly in the New Testament, God repeatedly tells us to bear one another's burdens. It may be said in different ways, but the meaning is there. It is also stated that it is a point of growth, when we can, and do bear other's burdens.

Saw 'Left Behind' and Thought of You!

Dear Min. Bob,
Now don't get too upset. I did think of all my friends when I saw the movie 'Left Behind'. ALL CHRISTIANS SHOULD SEE IT! But there are two reasons for you to see it and a third to make you think.
1. See it for yourself to drive up your faith.
2. Bring someone who is 'on the fence' for accepting Christ. A rich discussion should follow and possibly a conversion.
3. There are several more Christian Movies in the pipeline for major theaters. Why would God have such an abundance of Hollywood quality movies showing at this time? Could HE be giving everyone a chance? Does Scripture say something like that? Is HIS sense of justice like that? What about other signs and information proving HIM?
All of the above answers are in the affirmative.
NOW, imagine your time came. You are on the other side of death. How many people will wish that you had loved them enough to tell them about God?
That is how we always should be thinking.

Is Divorce The Unforgivable Sin? |

Dear Min. Bob,
Recently there is hope in the Catholic Church to rescind the rules on divorced people not receiving Holy Communion.
Click Here For The Story. My question however goes much broader than Church rules. Is it God's rule?
First off only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.
However, God says that he "hates divorce". He also says that "who ever marries a divorced woman, commits adultery". What does all this mean and how can we reconcile it?
Understanding that God takes the time to explain to us, what the only unforgivable sin is. It is not divorce. People can be forgiven of it. But why does HE hate it?
In our world, we can see divorce hurts everyone, except the lawyers pockets. God does not want his people, hurt. Secondly, we must understand God's vision for marriage. It is a very serious and holy thing. It is intended for, yes, virgins. This makes it so much better as the couples experience these new things, together as they grow. Anything less than this spoils the experience.
So, what are people who have been divorced to do? Firstly, no matter what the circumstances, seek God's forgiveness. Next live every day realizing that you are at a disadvantage and need God's grace and your wisdom to put extra efforts into your marriage. Yes, it is better to remain single, but few can do it.
With faith, love and hope, your marriage can succeed. But, as you should know love is superior to all. Love God first then your first neighbor, your spouse as yourself.
May God richly bless those who will listen.

Barbara's Healing |

Dear Min. Bob,
Our friend, Barbara has had her times in the hospital. Yet this last one was absolutely amazing. She had developed stomach and back ache problems. Her doctors saw something on the X-rays and scheduled her for MRI's. All said a special type of hernia, a rare one, that knots up the top of your stomach. It was so big that it was pressing on her back.
Scheduled for a follow up and an operation, they all figured that at her age she should have her colon checked at the same time.
Well, she just came back from that experience and guess what. ALL evidence of the hernia had disappeared! Yes, a miracle had happened! And don't you know there is Barbara on the phone, and in person, telling the world!
Her and her best friend had been praying hard.
Now, what did you expect, a preacher or healer's story about how we had God intervene? Not so and not needed. God will meet you at your need as he reads the conditions of your heart.
Now, I only know the surface of Barbara's heart. I can tell you it's toward God. But I can only know so much. God, however knows it all.
Now, how is your heart with God? Could it be closer? Let us live every day to make it that way. Both you and me. You never know when you'll need a Godly intervention OR what more work God has planned for you. Who knows, just maybe one of Barbara's phone calls, or one email forwarded to another on this subject will save someone's soul.
Go ahead. Give it a try.

Expect An Attack |
| Dear Min. Bob,
After interviewing thousands of Christians for my local TV program I came up with a pattern seemingly used by the devil. When something great is going to happen in God, there seems to be a pattern, that beforehand people are attacked by all sorts of things that would impede or even dissuade them from going to task. For some it could be as simple as going to Church. Does everything come up suddenly that would keep you from going? It is the same in Ministry. You put yourself out there in faith and things just seem to attack or go wrong beforehand. Then when you still go ahead, any how, something great in God happens. I could use myself as an example and my recent trip to the Miracle Empowerment Conference, but there is even a better example: JESUS CHRIST. Yes, it is little preached on, but sadly true. Remember before HE stepped out on this great Ministry that we all read about? Was HE not tested by the devil. Did HE not go out into the wilderness and a trinity of times, be tested by Satan? You, see it is still true, and it is still HIS example for us, even if it is not taught a whole lot. We will be tested by fire before we do great things in God. My prayer for you today, is that you and I will past each test and Jesus and us will be victorious. Be aware of these attacks and be prepared for them when you step out for the Lord. Did you know this information on the Koran? And can a Muslim be saved? What prompted me to ask was this video (click here) sent in by Jessica Bruno. IF you have a genuine search for the truth, nothing is impossible. This man has a fantastic testimony, doesn't he? With all the bad publicity regarding the Radical Muslims, remember there are some, like in any religion who are just simply looking for the truth. Given that, the Holy Spirit can guide them into all truth. Our GOD is a great God! We cannot let ourselves discriminate, or judge ahead (be prejudice) against anyone for any reason. Miracle Empowerment Conference Report |
| Dear Min. Bob,
PREPARING AND SAYING YES: I am so grateful for you and your prayers which helped me overcome the devils ways which tried to stop me at first. He even tried to bring a wall between me and a man that I admire, love,. respect and I believe vice versa. I am so glad the Holy Spirit gives me peace at times. The Carrs and others in my life prepared me for what was to come.
OUR HOSTESS: Dericklyn Parker cannot be thanked enough. She met me as I interviewed her for TV several years ago. Our Spirits were the same. It was the easiest interview that I had ever done. When she asked me to participate in this event I knew it was from GOD. I would not know until after participating how much faith and grace she really had. She and her mother MUST do these kind of things more often. I hope you support her Ministries in every way that you can.
TRIP PREP: Everything about this trip, was a trip of faith. GOD promises to reward that. It is a humanly uncomfortable feeling. God sent his disciples out two by two in the beginning, so I sought a traveling companion for my trip. Just like God it came at the last minute with Bill Mayers, Little would I know how similar we were. He was blessed and he blessed me! Many Christians call people like him, personal armor bearers. My last one left soon after the first shots were fired. I do not believe Bill ever would. We got along great and worked as a great team. Thank you Dericklyn for providing a format where I could get to know him more. ALSO: Just like God, Dericklyn said she would have a table for our wares. At the last minute GOD put it on my heart to order custom buttons to go with my presentation. They arrived in time. They say "I.M. FREE in the WHOLE WORD OF GOD" This is in response to the George Barna survey where only 9% of pastors know and are willing to preach the whole Word of GOD. We arrived hours early and without incident. I got to know Bill so much better and he, me. Both of our faiths grew.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: The lady who checked us in to the Motel was a Christian. We prayed with her and encouraged each other. Dericklyn waa there with her mom. What a great place and room they provided. Many gifts came from them. All with a love and exceptional quality.
FIRST HOURS: I was under the music of Insight to Mystery. I am sure we are to be together with them in Ministry. They touched my heart. I wept. I saw my brokenness with my Son, yet my need to continue in Ministry. No music group has touched me like they did. I promised them I would come when they needed an evangelist and vice versa. Does anyone have contact information for them? They did not have a card for me at the time. Dericklyn and her mom have some way with preaching and singing in such a soft way as I have never experienced before. I was allowed to pray for many as a supplement to them. GOD put it on me to pray and annoint people with oil. For some reason I missed Reeni Mederos. I felt bad, but GOD did not tell me to. The next day, HE showed me why and when. I believe I blessed her. I also believe that GOD allowed me to pray for many people's Spiritual needs which, with hands on, I sensed and put into words as best I could. I even was allowed to pray for a man who also had a dislocated finger. I felt the healing heat go out. Lynne Donnelly needs to be thanked for her prayers on my behalf here.
MY PRESENTATION: I tore up my presentation several times. Finally with a few rough notes and the Holy Spirits help I proceeded. Many people seemed quite interested. I gained many people to network with and to add to these emails. IT WAS MY INTRODUCTION BACK INTO PUBLIC MINISTRY. I was in contact with people back home who were praying for me and encouraging me.
OUR FINANCES: We stepped out in faith. Between donations from within and without trip expenses were paid. A full report will appear on our web site soon.
THE RETURN TRIP: Was not as easy as our trip down, but Bill and I pushed our way home Saturday night into the earliest hours of Sunday morning. I woke up long enough to make Church on Sunday morning. I did this, not because I wanted to set an example, but because I wanted to be there. The choir missed me, but I ministered to them from the pews. I then added my contacts to this email list and the special one that I keep for special messages.
