Mountain Church of God
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” (Lk. 10:25-28 NIV)

Jesus said it, our Church endorses it and that is our mission statement.

NEW WEBSITE COMING FOR MOUNTAIN CHURCHES OF GOD
Bishop Henry Whitmire has been busy starting Churches and offering a covering over others. The Trustees of the Mountain Church of God in Brookfield have approved funds for beginning a web site of our own to cover our sister Church in Waterbury Ct., a covering for the work of Pastor Bill Vigue, and a covering or a Church for Pastor James Pitts. We expect to be opening this web site in March.
Our beliefs in this regard are very simple.
• We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Everything we do, must be based on it.
• As Christians we must love God first, then our neighbors as ourselves.
• Churches that are formed with ours are Sister Churches. We are joined together to support each other. We respect our elders first for advice, correction, counsel  etc.
Pastor Cutting is the Assistant Pastor at the Mountain Church of God, 159 Pocono Rd. Brookfield Ct.
This page will help familiarize you with the Church and Activities going on at the Church.
Dr. Henry G. Whitmire is the Regional Bishop and Senior Pastor at this location. We are a group of Christians meeting together to grow and promote Christ. You may ask "What is a Christian?" Click here to find out.
