 * 2/4 Where Does Love Start? (LLTG)

Dear Michael,

LOVE LETTERS TO GOD
In many places around the world, because of Valentine's Day, February is "love month'. So, I am going to start a series on love up to that date.

WHERE DOES LOVE START?

Look at the order of things with God in each of the first three Gospels. It starts with your heart. Further, it MUST start with your heart. Even the love for your spouse, MUST start with your heart. Yes, even for your neighbor.

IF it starts with your mind, you have it rear backwards.

God loves you so much that He even wrote down the proper order of love.

Kindly look then at the descending order. Next, your soul. The part of you that lasts forever.

Lastly, your strength and your mind. The least and weakest parts of your being.

 Dear Lord,
In this month of love. may we learn more about love, it's importance and it's main focus in and for our lives. May we also remember that you not only tell us, but are an example of it.

 In Jesus Holy Name,
AMEN!

Galatians 3:26-28
New International Version

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

 * 1/19 Baptism and Discrimination

Dear Pstr. Mike,

So notice this in God, there are ONLY TWO types of people.
God's people, and those who need to be. You become one of God's people through surrender and baptism according to the Word of God, not man. For God is no respecter of man or man's logic and ways.

So in this world there should be no other way to describe or treat people.

It cringes me to even have to say "black church" when I am trying to describe a church where mostly people of color go. In our part of the country, most of those churches openly welcome you, regardless of color.

Most problems in our country come from Spiritual problems. I know when I travel I will go to any church on Sunday that God leads me to. Likewise Baltimore's recent problems could have been predicted. I had a friend the same way. Once he went to a 'black church' in Baltimore. The preacher got up and preached against whites as the source of their problems. You can imagine how that made my friend feel.

I pray that this is not the case in your area.

 Jesus,
May we always go ONLY by the Word of God and here in today's lesson, realize that in Word and in our practice, there should ONLY be two types of people. The saved and unsaved. May we act it.
In Jesus Holy Name,
AMEN!

"At the acceptable time (the time of grace) I listened to you,
And I helped you on the day of salvation."
Behold, now is "the acceptable time," behold, now is "the day of salvation"-

 *  12/30 What Would You Go Through For Christ?

Dear Michael,

Kindly examine today's Scripture. Read it over again if possible. Would you go through what they did for what you believed? Why or why not?

Throughout history where men had a strong belief in something, they would go through extremes for it.

If you asked some of our brothers and sisters in Africa, Pakistan, India, Iran etc, their experiences might be just like the apostles.

But would you hang on? Would your testimony be great? And what if things changed in your country? Soon? Would you be willing to endure?

Lord may our faith be a durable faith. One which will survive the test of time in our beings until we meet you face to face!
AMEN!

HAVE A GREAT, CHRIST CENTERED End of year and New Year!

 *   12/23 Do The Right Thing

Dear Pstr. Mike,

You've heard it before "Do the right thing". If you are a Christian you know what it is in every situation and if you don't either:

A. You haven't studied the Fathers Word. or
B. You have not asked the Holy Spirit.

There is no doubt about it. It is only A or B.

If you do the right thing, even if it is uncomfortable for you, you are trusting God to make up for it, to bless it. AND He will if you have even the faith of a mustard seed.

So, living a righteous life is doing the right thing with each decision. Living in peace with others.

I pray that you and I will live a life blessed by God because even in the little things, we are asking Him and checking ourselves each step of the way by saying "is this the right thing to do?"

In Jesus Holy Name,AMEN!

But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

Romans 12:4-10Amplified Bible (AMP)
4 For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use, 5 so we, who are many, are [nevertheless just] one body in Christ, and individually [we are] parts one of another [mutually dependent on each other]. 6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; 7 if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; 8 or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, [a]with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness.
9 Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing-without guile and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor;

 *   12/22 Like Body Parts

Dear Jim,

The parts of YOUR body work together for the good of your body. God over and over says that His body, the church, those that really are going to heaven, are supposed to work that way.

Heaven is pictured just like that. What a shock to you, if you do not practice that now. IF you make it to heaven, you may have a heart attack at the pearly gates!

Here in the northeastern parts of America, where Christians aren't as thick as they are in the Bible belt, I am fortunate to have friends from all different Christian backgrounds that understand this. They are mature enough in Christ to love each other in that way.

...and IF you can't get this in this season, then when?

I pray that you too will adapt this mature Christian attitude. That you will realize how much God loved you and so you will pass it on to His people.

In Jesus Holy Name,AMEN!

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. -
Romans 12:16

"Because your heart was gentle and penitent and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and its inhabitants, and humbled yourself before Me, and tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you," declares the Lord.

Job 22:23
"If you return to the Almighty [and submit and humble yourself before Him], you will be built up [and restored]; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tents,

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:19
It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly Than to divide the spoil with the proud (haughty, arrogant).

James 4:6
But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, "God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness]."

 * 12/20 How To Live In Harmony

Dear Jim,

There are two ways to live in harmony.
*  One is to buy or rent in Harmony Arkansas USA.
* The other and more important is in living to please God. Once again God points out not to be proud, haughty or here He even says "Conceited".  Many in today's world are just that. Worse they are so selfish, so self centered, they do not even recognize it.

The opposite of course is as a humble servant. Like an innocent child as Christ once pointed out. What does this mean?

It means stop arguing over little details of the faith. I say, until you get love right. (and most of us have not). Facebook has been a great education for me. People really have not been taught the Word of God and the important things. Instead one argues that the King James is the only version of my Fathers Word that you should read. Another argues over whether you really need to be baptized or not. Still another saying you should never drink at all, another regarding the sinners prayer and on and on ....

Why do they do this? More to show how smart they are and how little they really will humbly LISTEN to others and strictly to the Word of God.

The answer to all this? Is at all times to be a servant. At all times to be humble. At all times to be a lover. Lovers, you see have learned to listen.

So, God my prayer for us is that humbleness and love will abound in everyone. That it will start with our example and our understanding that YOU are no respecter of men.

In Jesus Holy Name,AMEN!

For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

and not only for the nation, but also for the purpose of gathering together into one body the children of God who have been scattered abroad.

Romans 12:4
For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use, 5. so we, who are many, are [nevertheless just] one body in Christ, and individually [we are] parts one of another [mutually dependent on each other].

For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body, [spiritually transformed-united together] whether Jews or Greeks (Gentiles), slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit [since the same Holy Spirit fills each life]. 14. For the [human] body does not consist of one part, but of many [limbs and organs].

1 Corinthians 12:25
so that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another.

 * One Spirit

Dear Jim,

Some Christians, a remnant, are smart enough to get this. Most look at the 'one Spirit' part and with good conscience or not, and skip over the next part "ONE BODY".  You cannot do that! This is God's Word. EVERY word counts.

It is nice to say that every Church knows the Holy Spirit (and some don't even do that!). But we are to be ONE BODY in Christ. You are either a Christian or you are not. Folks, this is how it will be in heaven. Get used to it!

Some Christians, again a remnant, embody this. You see them any place and you know, Spirit to Spirit, they are, and they accept you as one, as being 'IN'. Yes, it is it's own 'In Network' a very Spiritual One! And it exists despite ANY brand name that they may go to. It is the real embodiment of the church as Jesus envisioned it and wrote it in Scripture.

So, my prayer today, for you is that you WILL work on building your faith to the level of knowing other Christians in the body, despite their alleged 'place of worship' and be one with them.
In Jesus Holy Name,AMEN!

In the ABC's of conversion, That is
* To Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
* Believe that He is the Son of God
* Confess with your lips
.... the confession part has legs. It is not just a one time event. You must not be afraid to tell people that you have Jesus in your heart.

* How? You must get them to ask.
* How is that? You must be different. That is, you must act like it!

Now this rolls off the brains of Americans, but I guarantee you, some of our brothers and sisters in Africa, Pakistan, India, Iran and the such can risk death for such. Yes, and some of them now get this newsletter through Facebook.

Let us think and pray for how important it is for us to profess the name of Jesus.

Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead].

 * "Striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman, to attract an Ephesians 5 man, for a I Corinthians 13 love"

Dear Shahid,

Above was a saying on Facebook. It is well expressed by a Christian sister who understands God.

* The Proverbs 31 wife, puts her husband and family life first. She picks a good husband and encourages him. Not to be left, she is ambitious, and is a good business person on her own.
  • The Ephesians 5 man knows his responsibility to love God first, then his wife (as his first neighbor). He knows he is thick headed on this love thing, but must show it to his wife only after God.
  • And the I Corinthians 13 love, defines the type of love we are to express. In fact it defines love. We should be able to put our name, in the place of love. For instance "Bob is patient, Bob is kind .... etc. etc.

So how are the rest of us doing? Do you see how this Christian sister has it right? In interviewing many woman on this subject, telling them I have found a man who is "patient, kind", etc. They told me "You have found the perfect man. Can I meet him".

So, Christian men, let's get to work!

Here the situation (by reading the previous chapter) is that unlike convincing people of Himself and His mission, Christ is sitting his disciples down and teaching them their first lesson on conducting themselves.
And, I believe this lesson is in the order of importance. And what is it about? In one Word, humbleness.
I have seen people on Facebook and elsewhere argue with other Christians as if they were the authority. I guess they did not 'get' the first lesson to His disciples.
May we not be so burdened and immature as Christians. Do you agree?

Now we command you, beloved, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from believers who are living in idleness and not according to the tradition that they received from us.

 2 Thessalonians 3:10

For even while we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.

Dear Jim,

The Biblical principles discussed here would later be called, in America, "The Christian Work Ethic". It was one of the hallmarks of the Plymouth colonies as compared to Jamestown. One of the reasons, historians give, for its.success.

You might say, "What about the handicapped person?" Let us understand God says in 2 Thessalonians, "not willing" to work.
This infers that you may or may not have a job for them, or that they could do, but if you did they should not refuse it.

During the Great Depression, the Churches were the centers for welfare. Many poorer people, because of that came to Christ. Now the government took over welfare. Many people are broken because they know how to work the system, but have no desire to do actual work.

Which do you think worked out better?

Let us encourage ambition as God would have it.
