For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

and not only for the nation, but also for the purpose of gathering together into one body the children of God who have been scattered abroad.

Romans 12:4
For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use, 5. so we, who are many, are [nevertheless just] one body in Christ, and individually [we are] parts one of another [mutually dependent on each other].

1 Corinthians 10:17
Since there is one bread, we [believers] who are many are [united into] one body; for we all partake of the one bread [which represents the body of Christ].

1 Corinthians 12:12
For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ. 13. For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body, [spiritually transformed-united together] whether Jews or Greeks (Gentiles), slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit [since the same Holy Spirit fills each life]. 14. For the [human] body does not consist of one part, but of many [limbs and organs].

1 Corinthians 12:25
so that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another.

 * One Spirit

Dear Jim,

Some Christians, a remnant, are smart enough to get this. Most look at the 'one Spirit' part and with good conscience or not, and skip over the next part "ONE BODY".  You cannot do that! This is God's Word. EVERY word counts.

It is nice to say that every Church knows the Holy Spirit (and some don't even do that!). But we are to be ONE BODY in Christ. You are either a Christian or you are not. Folks, this is how it will be in heaven. Get used to it!

Some Christians, again a remnant, embody this. You see them any place and you know, Spirit to Spirit, they are, and they accept you as one, as being 'IN'. Yes, it is it's own 'In Network' a very Spiritual One! And it exists despite ANY brand name that they may go to. It is the real embodiment of the church as Jesus envisioned it and wrote it in Scripture.

So, my prayer today, for you is that you WILL work on building your faith to the level of knowing other Christians in the body, despite their alleged 'place of worship' and be one with them.
In Jesus Holy Name,AMEN!

Dear Michael,

In the ABC's of conversion, That is
* To Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
* Believe that He is the Son of God
* Confess with your lips
.... the confession part has legs. It is not just a one time event. You must not be afraid to tell people that you have Jesus in your heart.

* How? You must get them to ask.
* How is that? You must be different. That is, you must act like it!

Now this rolls off the brains of Americans, but I guarantee you, some of our brothers and sisters in Africa, Pakistan, India, Iran and the such can risk death for such. Yes, and some of them now get this newsletter through Facebook.

Let us think and pray for how important it is for us to profess the name of Jesus.

Yes, even in America, where the coming administration may have a reprise of certain pressures put upon Christians.

... and oh, yes, How often? ..... "ALWAYS"

11 The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence],
And he will have no lack of gain.
12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil All the days of her life.
13 She looks for wool and flax
And works with willing hands in delight.
14 She is like the merchant ships [abounding with treasure]; She brings her [household's] food from far away.
15 She rises also while it is still night
And gives food to her household
And assigns tasks to her maids.
16 She considers a field before she buys or accepts it [expanding her business prudently]; With her profits she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.
17 She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task]
And makes her arms strong.
18 She sees that her gain is good;
Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead].
19 She stretches out her hands to the [b]distaff, And her hands hold the spindle [as she spins wool into thread for clothing].
20 She opens and extends her hand to the poor, And she reaches out her filled hands to the needy.
21 She does not fear the snow for her household, For all in her household are clothed in [expensive] scarlet [wool].
22 She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is linen, pure and fine, and purple [wool].
23 Her husband is known in the [city's] gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes [fine] linen garments and sells them; And supplies sashes to the merchants.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared].
26  She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].
27 She looks well to how things go in her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired); Her husband also, and he praises her, saying,
29 "Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], [c]But you excel them all."
30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the product of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]

 * "Striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman, to attract an Ephesians 5 man, for a I Corinthians 13 love"

Dear Shahid,

Above was a saying on Facebook. It is well expressed by a Christian sister who understands God.

* The Proverbs 31 wife, puts her husband and family life first. She picks a good husband and encourages him. Not to be left, she is ambitious, and is a good business person on her own.
  • The Ephesians 5 man knows his responsibility to love God first, then his wife (as his first neighbor). He knows he is thick headed on this love thing, but must show it to his wife only after God.
  • And the I Corinthians 13 love, defines the type of love we are to express. In fact it defines love. We should be able to put our name, in the place of love. For instance "Bob is patient, Bob is kind .... etc. etc.

So how are the rest of us doing? Do you see how this Christian sister has it right? In interviewing many woman on this subject, telling them I have found a man who is "patient, kind", etc. They told me "You have found the perfect man. Can I meet him".

So, Christian men, let's get to work!

 * 12/8 JESUS BEGINS TO TEACH HIS DISCIPLES

Dear Pstr. Mike,

Bible scholars often miss a lot by going by the study of the law instead of the situation. Here the situation (by reading the previous chapter) is that unlike convincing people of Himself and His mission, Christ is sitting his disciples down and teaching them their first lesson on conducting themselves.
And, I believe this lesson is in the order of importance. And what is it about? In one Word, humbleness.
I have seen people on Facebook and elsewhere argue with other Christians as if they were the authority. I guess they did not 'get' the first lesson to His disciples.
May we not be so burdened and immature as Christians. Do you agree?

 * 11/30 Are We To Encourage Each Other ... All The Time?

Dear Pstr. Mike,

Here is how God puts it:

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God's love.
- Jude 1:20-21 (NLT)

Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words [concerning our reunion with believers who have died].

Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing.

But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today" [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication].

and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds,

... I think that I have made the case on behalf of God. Our job, as Christians is to encourage other Christians. If we correct them, it is to be only with the use of Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16). NOT putting them down, NOT in front of others (Mt.18:15) but in private AND NOT from innuendos from the Pulpit.

 * 11/12 The Christian Work Ethic

Dear Jim,

The Biblical principles discussed here would later be called, in America, "The Christian Work Ethic". It was one of the hallmarks of the Plymouth colonies as compared to Jamestown. One of the reasons, historians give, for its.success.

You might say, "What about the handicapped person?" Let us understand God says in 2 Thessalonians, "not willing" to work.
This infers that you may or may not have a job for them, or that they could do, but if you did they should not refuse it.

During the Great Depression, the Churches were the centers for welfare. Many poorer people, because of that came to Christ. Now the government took over welfare. Many people are broken because they know how to work the system, but have no desire to do actual work.

Which do you think worked out better?

Let us encourage ambition as God would have it.

*  NOVEMBER FLEA MARKET REPORT

Dear Min. Bob,

NOVEMBER FLEA MARKET REPORT:
As many of you know, we try to reach out for Jesus at a local Flea Market on the first Sunday every month. This month may be our last effort for the year. We had unusually cold weather which dampened the crowd, had people rush by due to the cold, but we reached a few people and children, particularly Lynne Donnelly did. I did connect with more venders around us and started friendships with Don and Judy and Elizabeth expressed her desire to come to our worship service next time.
We had a great worship service with the Spirit of God getting us excited.
In total we collected $60. and thereby made our rent for next time, plus $10.
On the down side another sudden gust of wind bent a main support, ripped a hold down off the tent, and broke a roof support. Next year I believe we should use 2 smaller, stronger tents instead of the one long one. We will need more support to purchase them however,
This is probably our last effort for the year although the
Flea Market has announced it will stay open until Dec. 18th, weather permitting. If it is this cold or windy it may not be worth our effort, but we will see come the first week of December.

 11/9 Our Christian Responsibilities Now

Dear Jim,

Let us be thankful for answered prayers from the faithful, that did not look at their own weakness for personalities, but for the principles that God taught us, for Him, on His behalf.

Christians of all people, should understand forgiveness and looking forward, rather than to the past. Not only looking forward, but working together for the good.

"Let us reason together" is the Word for today. Christians of all people should be able to do this.

We now have the opportunity to "dig in" for the next four years and to promote the principles of God here in America. It may be our last opportunity. It will require, just as you voted and prayed, now to do acts of greater faith.

Let us do it. Let us promote it. Let us dig in as no other people can do, and reclaim the Christian part of America that did make us a "light on a hill".  We, the real Christians of America, can be the very best examples. Can we not?

May we be blessed by Godspeed!

* 10/21 GOSSIP - The Christian Killer

Dear Bev,

GOSSIP - THE CHRISTIAN KILLER

Many Christians do not understand God's definition and the application of Gossip. To a Christian, gossip is anything you did not hear from the horses mouth. God puts it like this:

Matthew 18:15Amplified Bible (AMP)
15 "If your brother sins[a] (Against You) , go and show him his fault in private; if he listens and pays attention to you, you have won back your brother.

So, first of all God says you have a problem with someone. Go, (not call, text, email, phone, etc) GO to him, then IN PRIVATE, and go over what offended you. If you are able to agree, you will have overcome your hurt feelings,

Gossip is defined by Webster as:
1gossipnoun gos·sip \ˈgä-səp\

: information about the behavior and personal lives of other people.

The first thing people say to me when I tell them it is gossip, is "Well it's true". Tell me do you see any where above that makes ANY difference, what so ever? No, it does not. Not in Gods eyes, not in Webster's definition.

Now, for a contemporary example with politics, for instance. In my early years we would have newspapers that were not very reputable. We would call then "Gossip Rags' because they would have stories told by other people, but not quotes from the people themselves. Today, most media is like that. IF you do not hear from the candidate themselves that they said such and such, YOU are participating in gossip.

The moral of the story is this. The evil one is ruling more and more of our world, as we have thrown God out. It is becoming more and more tempting to get into evil things.

God says this:
So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.

In Jesus Name,
Minister Bob Cutting
